📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Tussle With the Tigers. For the first time in two weeks, the ODU men’s basketball team will take the court at Chartway Arena this afternoon.

And the task in front of them is a mighty one as 2023 Sweet Sixteen participant, Princeton, visits Norfolk for a 4 pm matchup.

Junior guard Chaunce Jenkins picked up right where he left last season, averaging 19.0 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, while shooting nearly 50-percent from the field for the Monarchs.

Today’s showdown kicks off a stretch of three home games in eight days for ODU, who hosts Drexel on Sunday (2 pm) and Radford on Wednesday (7 pm).

🔼 One Shot. One Opportunity. After you’ve stuffed yourselves on Thursday, take Friday to recover and Saturday, it’s GAME ON.

The ODU football needs us all and needs us LOUD.

Saturday afternoon, the Monarchs host Georgia State and with a win would clinch bowl eligibility for the second time in three seasons.

ODU is looking to build off a thrilling 20-17 road win at Georgia Southern last week as the defense held strong, and Grant Wilson put Ethan Sanchez in the right spot to knock home the game-winner as time expired.

2 pm. Saturday.
Ballad Stadium.
BE THERE!

🔼 Get Those Calendars Out. While you have a few days, let’s start planning the spring.

Let’s be honest, you already want to be done with winter anyway, right?

The ODU Monarch baseball team released its full 2024 slate and it’s LOADED with some of the best teams in the country, including several visiting Norfolk this spring.

The Monarchs will play 55 games during the regular season, which includes 32 games at Bud Metheny Ballpark and an April showdown against UVA at Harbor Park.

The 2024 slate features games against six teams that appeared in the 2023 NCAA Regionals and one team that reached the College World Series.

🙌 HELPING HANDS

Many of us ODU fans spend hours watching our Monarchs pour everything into their sports.

This past weekend, the men’s basketball team turned the tables a bit and they were the ones doing the cheering and supporting as they volunteered at the annual Norfolk Harbor Half Marathon, handing out gels, drinks and offering support to the runners.

🤔 MONARCH TRIVIA

Later today, ODU will take on Princeton, a perennial power in the Ivy League, for the first time in program history.

But it’s not the first time the Monarchs have faced off against an Ivy League opponent.

When was the last time ODU played someone from the Ivy?

Got a guess?

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: Nov. 21, 2021

Almost two years to the day, the Monarchs took on Penn in Myrtle Beach and dropped a tough 71-63 decision to the Quakers.

All-time, ODU is 4-1 against Ivy League schools (Cornell (1-0), Darmouth (2-0), Penn (0-1) and Yale (1-0)).

🦁 See you at Chartway This Afternoon! Happy Thanksgiving!
