TGIF ODU Fam. When Space Jam 3, WNBA edition rolls out… we’ve got a Jordan that could be the star….

That’s right, our own JM (not to be confused with MJ) had a patented “Jordan” moment on Wednesday to help the Lady Monarchs to a crucial conference win and position ODU for a run over the final few weeks of the Sun Belt season.

🔼 How Bout These Js? We’ve got our own Jordan and sure do love her.

Senior Jordan McLaughlin had her moment on Wednesday night as the veteran guard scored the final seven points en route to a team-high 21 points to help the Lady Monarchs to a HUGE victory over Troy, 63-59.

The win moves ODU just a game behind JMU and Troy in the Sun Belt standings with seven games left in the regular season. Marshall continues to lead the league with only one conference loss so far this year.

It was the Lady Monarchs’ fourth win in the past five games as McLaughlin finished with 21 points, four rebounds and three assists in the contest. Junior Brenda Fontana continued her strong play of late, finishing with 14 points, including three from beyond the arc.

🔼 Bragging Rights. Nothing better than being able to have bragging rights on the local courts.

The ODU men’s tennis team earned that on Wednesday with a 757 sweep, picking up victories over Norfolk State, 4-0, and William & Mary, 5-2.

With the two wins, the Monarchs improve to 6-1 on the young season

That statement has been uttered thousands of times by football coaches over the years and this week, the ODU football squad added some beef to their trenches as the Monarchs putting the finishing touches on the 2024 Signing class with a West Coast signee.
