It may be July, but there’s always those out there looking to plan ahead.

Well, those planners, we got you covered and we’ll get you all set for this fall in Norfolk!

We’ve got the full promotional breakdown of all 6️⃣ home games for the Monarchs!

Game 1 vs. East Carolina - September 7 - 6 p.m.

Game 2 vs. Virginia Tech - September 14 - 6 p.m.

Game 3 vs. Texas State - October 19 - TBA

Game 4 vs. Georgia Southern - October 24 - 7 p.m.

👏 MAKING A STATEMENT

While next year may be less than two months away, we’ve still got some celebrating from last year to do.

Late last week, six ODU student-athletes earned 2023-24 Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) Academic All-State accolades.
 
Alexandra Viktorovitch and Sofia Johnson from Women’s Tennis, Jakob Cadonau from Men’s Tennis, Myah Conway from Volleyball, Zander Johnson from Men’s Swimming and Elizabeth Gildea from Sailing were the ODU recipients. 

To be eligible, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.25 GPA and be a sophomore or higher in standing. In total, 36 schools and 216 student-athletes were represented.
 
VaSID names 44 all-state teams in 23 sports each year, as well as an Academic All-State squad and an all-sports champion in both the University and College Divisions.

🏈 COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 47 DAYS

Number of the Day: 47

For the past two seasons, rising redshirt sophomore Koa Naotala
has donned the #47 for the Monarchs.

This fall, he’ll be wearing a different number as he’s moved to #10
for this third year in Norfolk.

Last year, Naotala worked his way into the linebacker rotation for ODU,
playing in all 13 games, including one start. He finished his first full
collegiate season with 29 tackles, including 1.5 TFLs.
