Monarchs Earn Fourth Straight Conference Title On the Courts

Good Morning Monarchs. No better way to start your week than watching this on repeat all morning…

That’s right, ANOTHER trophy is headed back to Norfolk courtesy of the women’s tennis squad. Over on the diamond, the baseball boys got a huge series win heading into the final month of the regular season.

What a Brew we have for you today! Check it out below!

🔼 Four Of A Kind. With four underclassmen in the regular lineup throughout the 2024 spring season, head coach Dominic Manilla wasn’t totally sure how things would finish.

Well, the faces may be new and young, but the results remain the same - CHAMPIONS.

The Lady Monarchs rolled to a fourth straight conference title and second straight Sun Belt trophy with a 4-2 defeat of App State in the finals.

ODU will now head towards yet another NCAA Tournament berth, which will be announced tonight at 6:30 pm.

🔼 Kenny! When you’re making a late season push, it’s always a good time to lean on your seniors.

Enter Kenny Levari and the ODU baseball squad.

Levari is grabbing that role for the Monarchs, ripping off a 14-game hitting streak and helping ODU take its third straight conference series this past weekend at the Bud.

The Vineland, N.J. native had six hits to help the Monarchs take two of three from visiting ULM and sit in prime position for the Sun Belt Tournament in late May.

🔼 More Than A Number. Ever wonder what goes into jersey numbers for collegiate student-athletes?

Maybe it was their high school number, maybe it was the number their parent or grand parent wore, or maybe it was just randomly selected for them.

But for #53 on the ODU women’s lacrosse team, it’s way more than just a number.

The latest edition of Max with Minium gives us a look into the special number.
